WHO WE ARE

Development and Peace Initiative (DPI), Kaduna is the development arm of the Catholic Archdiocese of Kaduna, otherwise, known as JDPC. The organization implements projects at the State and National levels. It was established in 1987 with the aim of promoting Integral Human Development through Legal Aid/Human Rights protection, Skills Acquisition and Micro Credit Scheme, Peace Building & Emergency Response, Good Governance and Agricultural Development Programme. Justice, Development and Peace / Caritas (JDPC) is registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) on the14^th March, 2011 as Development and Peace Initiative (DPI)

Our sources of funding are via the following:

Internal source: Lenten Appeal collection, Lenten boxes collection, Stations of the Cross collections Lenten campaigns, publications and other appeals

External Source: Donations and support for projects from individuals, organizations companies etc.

OBJECTIVES

Our overall Mission and Objectives seek to

Promote Justice, Promote Christian Social Teachings through enlightenment programs, promote gender sensitivity, enhance farming, good healthy living through integral urban and rural development programs. Provide relief in times of social, religious or political upheaval and natural disasters.

Monitor and evaluate the work of the Organizations committees and to partnership with other NGO’s of similar
