This was a one year project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). It was aimed at promoting religious freedom in Kaduna state, North West Nigeria and Benue state, North central Nigeria. DPI worked in four (4) local government areas consisting of 8 communities. In Kaduna state, DPI worked in Kakuri Hausa and Kabala west of Kaduna south local government area while in Benue state DPI worked in Guma (Mbawem and Abinsi), Gwer west (Agagbe and Ormin-Naka) and Buruku (Etulo and Mbagen) local government area. The project saw to the formation of the Community Peace Advocates (CPAs) who were saddled with the responsibility of containing possible violence and promoting peace where they are.
